One Man Show by Jacques Bogart is a Chypre fragrance for men. Very classic fragrance and reminds you of the old days. One of the best masculine chypres and hugely underrated in the grand scheme of things. Quite distinctive and complex with pine needles, herbs, spice, incense, and woods and smells equally cold and warm. Nose piercing aromatic top notes of basil, bergamot, galbanum, caraway, and interestingly artemisia up there which gives it a cold industrial somber feel while I imagine the industrial site is surrounded by a woody pine forest. The florals are fairly restrained and the keynotes throughout are the basil, pine, and incense. Has an underlying woody-spicy warmth and a dirty earthiness from the patchouli, moss, and vetiver plus some warm spices and animatics. As a whole excellent quality for the price and very interesting and innovative use of notes. A powerhouse classic and a thrilling piece of perfumery.
